Quick Pizza dough ================ - 1 cup warm water - 1 tbsp sugar - 1 tbsp oil - 1 tbsp instant yeast (a 1/4 oz packet which is 2.25 tsp is likely ok). Rapid rise works also, but might rise more. - 1 tsp salt - 1 tbsp Italian seasoning (optional) - 1 tsp garlic powder (optional) - 2-3 cups flour Instructions: 1) Stir first 5 ingredients in a bowl (water, sugar, oil, yeast, salt) 2) If using, add Italian seasoning, garlic power (NOTE: Katie says too much seasoning) 3) Add 2 cups of flour. Knead 3-5 min gradually adding more flour until dough is no longer sticky. It should be soft and smooth. 4) Cover and let rest 15 min 5) Spread out pizza dough into circle + put on pizza stone (ideally pre-heated stone). 6) Add sauce + toppings. Bake 450 F for 12-15 min NOTE: Pizza dough will last in fridge a couple days if you want to store in airtight container sprayed lightly with oil after step 4. Makes one thick large pizza.. Overall dough ball was around 560g Another version: - One 1/4 oz package Active Dry Yeast (or 2 1/4 tsp) - 1 tsp sugar - 1 cup warm (110) water - 2.5 cup bread flour (normal ok) - 2 tsp olive oil - 1 tsp salt 1) In bowl, disolve yeast + sugar in warm water. Let stand 10 min 2) Stir in flour, salt + oil. Optionally add in some italian seasoning + garlic powder. Beat until smooth. Let rest 5 min. When coooking pizza, 450 for 15-20 min.
