Spaghetti Meat Sauce:

- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 2 cans tomato sauce (15oz)
- 1 garlic clove, minced
- 1 bay leaf
- 1 tbsp minced fresh basil or 1 tsp dried basil
- 2 tsp minced fresh oregano or 3/4 tsp dried
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 to 1/2 tsp pepper
- Cooked Spaghetti
- optional - Freshly grated parm cheese for top

Directions:

1) In large pot, cook ground beef and onion until meat not pink + drain
2) Add all ingredients (except spaghetti of course) + bring to a boil. 
--- NOTE: IF using fresh basil, add closer to the end (last 5-10 min)
3) Reduce heat + simmer 1 hour stirring occassionally.
4) Remove bay leaf + serve with spaghetti
