Chili ===== Ingredients: - 1 lb lean ground beef - 1 yellow onion chopped - 1 can (28oz) whole tomatos with juice, cut up - 1 can (15oz) tomato sauce - 3 cans (15 oz each) kidney beans, drained - 3/4 tsp salt - 2 tsp chili powder - 1/2 tsp ground cumin - 1/4 tsp fresh ground pepper - OPtional: 2 cloves garlic or chopped pepper or hot sauce Toppings: - grated cheddar cheese - chopped green onion - sour cream Directions: - In large pot over medium head, combine beef and onion (break up meat with spoon) - Cook until meat is no longer pink and onion is tender (~ 10 min) - Reduce heat to medium-low and add remaining ingredients except toppings - Simmer for 20-30 minutes - Ladle into bowls and pass toppings separately
