Basil Pesto ============= - 2 cups fresh basil (packed) - 1/2 cup fresh grated parmesean cheese - 1/2 cup olive oil - 1/3 cup pine nuts or walnuts - 3 cloves garlic minced (~1 tbsp) - 1/4 tsp salt - 1/8 tsp fresh ground pepper Instructions: In a food processor, blend in this order: 1) Basil + Nuts 2) Add garlic + cheese 3) Slowly drizzle oil in while processing (I lazily dumped it in two 1/4 cup) 4) Add pepper + salt to taste Enjoy with: - Toss with pasta - Dollop on potato - spread on cracker - spread on bread
